Nice product, bad organization, worse management

- It's a very good product and you will have fun working on it. - Nice tech stack, you can learn a lot. - People is very nice and the day-to-day life is pretty good.
|
- Don't expect to grow too much. - Too much secrecy with everything. You will spend a lot of time asking for access to *basic* stuff - Management just lies. You will get stuff promised and it will never happen. - You get the bad part of being a contractor (no paid days off, no severance when fired...) but not the good part (will be given stink eye if you have more clients, for example).

- Product-oriented senior team taught me a lot about how TOO NOTCH products can find their market in the long run
- Documenting every detail of every process is a MUST and Citymapper teams are the masters of internal wiki culture
- Company culture pushes hard to create strong 1 on 1 peer communication. It enables employees to invent faster solutions by bypassing ticket bureaucracy - Founder and founder team. On the contrary to bitter reviews on glassdoor, I adore those folks. Solid, hardworking, and not bullshitting.

- Repeated fails in finding the ideal business model because of the lack of structured planning and market analysis. Gut feelings were cared for unnecessarily.
- Lack of several more premium global investors
