please becareful before joining this company, they advertise fake jobs. They put an offer to me on 27 may, which i accepted and resigned from my previous job. later they told me that it will be difficult for my nationality to get a place in government organization for which they advertising so they are freezing the contract. it was a shock for me as i have worked in many place during my last 18 years and have worked in australia , singapore and in dubai government office. I provided them my clearence. Then they told me that they lost the contract. I told them that its a violation in uae to offer a fake job. then it offered me a job of pre-sale consultant which i have to accept since i have already resigned from my previous job. they fired me after 30 days make a excuse of poor performance. while during 30 days they did not let me work on anything

Great coworkers but serious growing pains

- Dev teams are small and exercise nearly full autonomy in choosing what tech stacks, methods, and solutions they want to implement on any given project, allowing you to try new things and essentially do what you want.
- Client base built from years of quality BI work means that the relatively much younger web and mobile dev teams get to work on apps for major companies located all over the world. Your work could be used by and/or vetted by CEOs, Presidents, and even literal royalty.
- The rapid growth of the dev teams means that you can quickly move up the ranks and manage your own teams and/or projects. If you're not complacent at staying right where you are, it can be a great environment to grow.
- Company is full of highly talented and equally sociable individuals that help build a strong sense of community both in and out of the office. This truly helps during the stressful times.
- Opportunities to travel, both within Spain and across Europe, the Middle East, and North America.
- Company is slowly but gradually addressing below management issues within the dev teams.

- While the company is extremely well-versed in BI, it is a novice in web development, leading management to often take a BI consultancy approach to all web and mobile projects. There is a huge difference and it shows.
- Dev, sales, and management really struggle to communicate scope and requirements. This leads to pervasive scope creep, impossible deadlines and a near daily feeling of extreme frustration and hopelessness that can be interspersed with weeks of little to no activity.
- You are nothing but billable hours to Operations. If I had a euro for every time they asked me about man hours whenever I approached them with a critical issue, I wouldn't need to work ever again.
- Some of the clients are very powerful people that are convinced that money solves everything and who aren't used to being told no. Having to deal with their endless scope creep, extremely complex security networks, and inflexible demands wears you down after a while.
- You work as a consultant, billed at an hourly rate to clients. It can easily feel like your value is measured in hours, not what you create.

Please don't hire developers to manage the team. Hire an experienced project manager and a SCRUM master to help with planning, forecasting, and structuring project scope and development. More importantly, they can help implement a tried and true methodology that is used in some of the world's largest and most demanding software firms, ensuring that many of the headaches experienced now can be completely avoided. It is the defining of the project that has always the problem. Not the development.
Until you get a highly structured and regimented method in place, don't pitch projects to your most valued clients. Constantly being unable to redefine a project or make mistakes, or say no to something because of fear of losing a major client is a great way to lose said major client -- and your employees.
Please, for the love of god, stop mentioning man hours.
