The on-boarding process several years ago was chaotic and took several months due to management turnover and security clearance delays. The pay in this position was good, as it should be in a position that has no job security. That was the only positive part. The company has been under a lot of turnover at the management level, which led to a complete breakdown in communication. Benefits are very good. No real cons. I recall excitement around the growth of the company and the charisma of the founder and CEO, Victoria Tifft, who was quite friendly. While there wasn’t much they could do to impact conditions on the client site, they made it clear they cared and regularly held lunches and events on and off site. They made an effort to keep employees informed of corporate developments which gave everyone a feeling of inclusion. The company’s strategy to win work was often to underbid competitors. This of course meant less money when they won work to pay employees. Their compensation and benefits were fair at best. If you are looking at a specific set of positions or work sites, see if you can find the same job with one of the prime contractors, like SAIC or HJF. You will likely get a better salary and almost certainly better benefits. If not, be prepared to negotiate the compensation terms - they often low-ball initial offers.
