Please reach out to former employees before joining CloudGenix CloudGenix was recently acquired by Palo Alto Networks so this will hopefully be an opportunity for employees to migrate to a better company that values them. I'd like to start by letting anyone who is thinking of working for Cloudgenix know that the majority of the positive reviews are FAKE. As a matter of fact CloudGenix's sales leadership ran a campaign to 'motivate' employees to leave reviews and then followed up with employees to find out if they had left 5 stars. PLEASE reach out to former employees if you want real intel on the culture. I have spoken to almost everyone who voluntarily left or was terminated in the last year and the stories are more or less the same--bullying, lies, manipulation, sexual harassment, and the list goes on. How there hasn't been a law suit brought upon these people yet is anyone's guess. (Cloudgenix also ran a campaign that paid customers $100 a pop to leave Gartner Peer Reviews, so I guess you can't always trust ratings!) The sales leadership here are bullies, plain and simple. There is no other way of putting it. The sexism and racism at this company is unbelievable and the employee retention is the lowest I've ever seen with any company. The culture is oppressive, there is no guidance given to anyone and communication and transparency is completely obsolete. And a work/life balance? What's that? Some of the SEs and Post Sales Support people are very strong. The Core Palo culture is strong and fun to work with (sadly the CloudGenix culture with Palo Alto is not). Pay is good. While Palo Alto now owns CloudGenix, CloudGenix is still allowed to run like a mini company and retain its toxic culture. The CloudGenix sales execs run the business like a dictatorship. Churn for Enterprise Sales employees is high and will continue to increase. If you want to be appreciated for your experience and be treated like a pro, this is not the job for you. Great sales execution, very fun culture. Typical startup issues with lack of back office support. Also, will give it to them, the upper management (VPs and Directors) know how to sell the position (but once you are in the job, you will want to leave within a couple months once you really see what's going on). First, the pay is the worst in the industry and area for a lot of positions. Also, you do not get paid overtime and mostly they do make you work 60 hours a week or more depending on the position. They won't explicitly say this, but it's implied and is pushed on you to do so if you want to keep the job. Pretty much say goodbye to your family now; you won't see them until you quit this job. Second, the work culture is a place festering with toxic masculinity. Women are told how to look and what to say to "be successful in the industry". If you kiss up to the men in charge, you automatically are put to the top for promotion even if your numbers may not be the best and most consistent. However, if your numbers are not the best AND you are not kissing up, then you are ostracized. Third, you are not given the guidance you need unless you are a top performer. If you are struggling, might as well quit while you are ahead because they will drop you fast. No real training program to get you back on track or anything like that. Fourth, some of the people who deserve a promotion still haven't gotten one. Promises will be made to you during the interview process of fast promotion and 6 figures in your 20s, but that is all BS. They do not full-fill the promises they make to you. Also, no structured path to promotion AT ALL. If you want to further your career in the tech world, start here and then move onto a company that can actually help you. I will be honest; I can keep going for a while on the cons. CloudGenix has a great product, but there are ones just like it out on the market; no matter what they tell you, this product is not as special as they make it seem. Like I said, they can sell the product and position to a prospective employee, but it's not worth you being unhappy all the time to be at this company. I have worked in mixes of Direct Sales, Partner Sales, but never a true relationship of working with our partners no matter what. By never truly having a good partner strategy, we were always in conflict with our partners. They were never sure if I would sell against them, take away their lead or play nicely. I guess it all depended on the culture of the business and whether we were going to hit our goal or not. CloudGenix has been SO different. We truly have a partner inclusive culture here. We always bring in a partner and they, in turn, realize we are a true partner and not competition. It's such an easy life when I get to manage the work with other people instead of fighting against them. I love working here! We continue to grow our channel strategy with not only larger and larger partners, but with companies that understand the true value of selling a solution that helps their customers, not just sells an overpriced product. However, we don't always get the best response from partners who see the old life and can't make the change. Or think they can continue to sustain their revenue from legacy vendors, even though those vendors are shrinking by the day. This can make it difficult sometimes. Luckily, we are growing, and we are bringing on the right partners that understand that change is inevitable. Their ability to work with customers is amazing and I am SO glad I took a chance on a smaller company to continue my technical support career. We have had a couple of people that have left in the last year because they couldn't keep up. Coming to CloudGenix started with an intense week of pitchwork and 'learning the language', all while changing out everything I had been taught about delivering a pitch. I'm used to standing in front of slides and diving into technology until the customer finally decided to try our product. Instead of understanding their pain and help them understand why the ways they have done it in the past doesn't work for their current challenges and needs. It has been a trip! I don't get to lean on my previous years as a Salesperson as much as I thought I would be able to, to be successful. I am learning a whole new art of Sales and while I'm a great time learning, it can be difficult at times to learn something new.
