private:cloudpassage https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=781171 Feb 27th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open CloudPassage Senior DevOps Engineer Turkey TUR Dead Man Walking. * Our offshored teams are some of the best engineers I've had the honor to work beside * Our checks didn't bounce * Our security-team was highly competent and professional * Our infrastructure very well-architected and implemented by a previous team * Major lay-offs in 2018 (or 2019, not sure) which created a lingering, toxic culture of fear and complacency * C-level made me to feel as peasant begging a lord when I asked how to talk about and represent the company when at conferences and networking events * On-call doubled as highly-interruptive first-tier tech support * Everything smelled of decay and stagnancy. We missed our shot. "Failure to launch", they call it. * High-stress environment with suffocating workloads and minimal mentorship/support/management * Lower management made it clear they did not want to be managers, which made it clear they did not have your back * Fear that you would be thrown under the bus and replaced with a foreign engineer making 1/5 as much * No second chances, no disciplinary procedures. * No thanks for your hard work. Just a kick in the rear-end and a reminder that Cash Rules Everything Around Me. * No severance but paid to the end of the day. Not the end of the week or the end of the pay period * Contributions made to your HSA/FSA are gifted to the employer and you lose your money * A manager road-raged. They terrified me by screaming at me that my home-town was a because they did not seem to understand how 1-way roads functioned. This caused me to check-out pretty early in my time there * International teams run by people who have never left their home country -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 3.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 781171 Open * Since you're seemingly either too cash-strapped, or too sociopathic to pay for severance, why not switch to Unlimited PTO. This will remove accrued vacation liabilities on the books so you can *really* kick them while they're down and struggling. * Ask HR how to appropriately terminate an employee who has told their manager about both emotional health and potentially debilitating physical health problems if you want to avoid an ADA lawsuit * Take classes in Empathy, and reference that knowledge when letting employees go. In the civilized world, even employees fired for cause receive enough severance to keep them from going homeless while they find a new job. Just because it is legal to financially cripple and humiliate an employee who didn't meet your expectations does not mean you should do this. You should be ashamed, and this will come back to haunt you over and over again. * Respect the personal time of employees in far-off time-zones. A 30 minute 1:1 should not be 90 minutes of somebody with power over you uncomfortably expressing their political views and frustrations 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Jan 18th, 2021 07:34PM Jan 18th, 2021 07:34PM CloudPassage

Very smart and talented people. Very good recruiting, all the new hires are highly qualified. - Technology is still at the top and continues to innovate. - Great vision for the future and how the market is trending. - If you aren't comfortable working from home or being remote and prefer going into an office, then it may not be a good fit. 90% of the company works remotely, and only essential personnel work in the office. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 781171 Open Keep doing what you're doing. private:cloudpassage https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=781171 Aug 22nd, 2019 12:00AM Open Open CloudPassage Technology Engineer Tampa, FL Overwhelmingly Positive Experience Remote culture - Most people visit the office once or twice per year. Room to grow - Implementing improvements requires a quick word and an MR. No red tape. Learn more, and do more. Friendly Coworkers - Even during an emergency, people are respectful and I haven't seen a personal attack once. Any disagreements are professionally voiced and stay on topic. Great work-life balance - Work hours are basically "whatever's reasonable". Be an adult, do your work, and everyone will be cool about it. Competitive pay and benefits - Pay is based on Silicon Vally cost of living, and the health insurance has dropped more from my expenses than I've ever seen. I've seen more than one healthcare professional alarmed at how much my insurance covers. Staffing is on the lighter side, so managing multiple tasks simultaneously can be mandatory at times. Like most tech work, oncall is a requirement for most engineers. Growth is limited to you. Your title probably won't be changed to match it. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 2.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 4.0 781171 Open Don't you dare go through another "restructuring" and we'll be just fine. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Jan 18th, 2021 07:34PM Jan 18th, 2021 07:34PM CloudPassage

There was great work-life balance because everyone ditched the office around 3:30 and nobody tried. Poor communication, poor leadership, regular layoffs, deeply unpleasant company culture. I cannot stress this enough, the C-Suite does not care about the people who work there. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 5.0 1.0 4.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 781171 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Jan 18th, 2021 07:34PM Jan 18th, 2021 07:34PM CloudPassage

The new leadership is laser-focused on fixing the problems that were left behind by the old leadership. They communicate everything to the team. They seem to be acting smartly with the business plan. Everyone that works here is great at their job and cares about each other.
