Everything from lack of any policies or procedures or job descriptions to an org chart that is not published to the team. CEO is not a leader but a micro manager who belittles his team. Every week, at least two or three people are giving notice. Excuse of being a start-up is given for the lack of any processes or procedures. But, there isn't a fun and inspiring start-up culture. Organization is very top heavy with management in private offices and worker bees grouped together in an archaic desk arrangement similar to the secretary pool of days gone by. CEO is trying to create a culture but doesn't walk the talk. Expect long hours and no respect.

Without knowing the context, what I can say is that Michael truly respects and values each individual and all of their efforts. Yes, the team recently went above and beyond to deliver for a client, which included long hours (thank you!) - as a result, Michael advocated for and implemented a month-long celebration (including food trucks, a four day weekend, a company party, massage therapists, catered meals, and more!) and spot bonuses for the folks that had to put in extra time. C-Level knows they are growing and want to focus on repeatable processes. They have a large client base for how young they are. I’ve never been at a company where I felt like they cared about me as a person as much as they do here. It’s a very chill vibe, yet people are very driven to get things done.

I think it’ll change soon, but some of the internal tools aren’t integrated together. I think there’s also room for some role restructuring.
