Requiring staff to do counselor and administrator work while getting paid BARELY above minimum wage regardless of experience. Clients try to break every rule and sneak out constantly and day staff dont care because they all went through the program and "feel for the clients". I was fired via text message. Entire departments turn over every 2-3 yrs, you may think it's typical for a non profit and proceed with seeking a job here, do not. They have a lot to hide and will go to any lengths to keep it hidden Pay attention to the red flags. There is no respect or honoring of privacy; gossip abounds within upper management, middle management, and staff. There is no substantive training; there is no sharing of knowledge. The hiring of inexperienced counselors and middle management is a detriment to those people seeking recovery or sustaining recovery. The withholding of information pertinent to job performance is incomprehensible, detrimental, and directly affects patient care. I can also relate to the residents here as I once was one myself and have struggled in many of the same ways these clients do.
