private:codeandtheory https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=197717 Apr 25th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Code and Theory Thailand THA Cold and Cut Throat - Nice views in nice building - Free snacks - HR truly cares - Exposure to a lot of work - There are some upper senior management people who are really good - You can be anyone you want, so long as you're one of them - High school, with the worst people around in control. If you meet someone who's been there more than 1.5 years, they're part of the system. Good luck finding anyone genuine. Get ready for gossip talking happy hours where your boss will get drunk and talk down on everyone else. - Drug culture. Can be a pro for many, but coke makes you quite the ayehole, doesn't it? - Not creative. 95% of the sizzle reel is comprised of using assets the above the line agencies created. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 1.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 4.0 2.0 197717 Open @management Time to break the ferment the fish. It's getting stale. @hr Sorry for writing this, and for all the great programs you've established to help people who work there. @ Potential employees. There are a lot of smart people there, and there's a prestige that definitely warranted, but if you can't ignore the mean spirited vibe then it's going to be ultimately unfulfilling. 100% avoid the friendly people who've been there 3+ years. Their happy hours are really quite sad. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 0.0 Jan 19th, 2021 05:43PM Jan 19th, 2021 05:43PM Code and Theory

You can bring home your laptop. And they only use Mac laptops which is very handy and workable. The community in the office is very knit-tight and friendly. Free bread every monday. private:codeandtheory https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=197717 Jan 6th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Code and Theory N/A New York, NY A great place to grow - Incredibly smart, kind, humble teams - Doesn't feel hierarchical; even as a junior employee your voice will be heard & valued - Hands down the best boss I've ever had - You're trusted with a lot of responsibility - Ups and downs in workload so it can swing between nothing to do and too much to do - Occasional late workdays or weekend work - Not always super passionate about the clients and wish we took on more pro-bono/mission-driven work - Onboarding is minimal and can be tough to get your bearings - Some people are overworked; seems like your experience depends a lot on which department you’re in 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 4.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 197717 Open Value and support producers—we rely on them! private:codeandtheory https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=197717 Aug 1st, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Code and Theory Anonymous Employee United States USA Very Demanding Environment - Great place to learn - Fast paced environment but it's easy to get into the swing of things - You're given a lot of responsibility if you're starting off in the agency world, which makes for a good experience - You're surrounded by VERY smart, dedicated and creative people. It can be intimidating at times, but that itself is a great opportunity to learn from others. - The work itself is fun. - Bagel Mondays - Taking days off is restrictive. There's a "Responsible Time Off" policy in place, but upper management makes you feel guilty for taking a day off or even working from home. - Late nights, which is justifiable when the work produced and the clients we work with are both at a very high standard. But that can result in a poor work/life balance. - Lack of direction in terms of the work. Sometimes, that can lead to poor communication. - Lack of cultural diversity. Doesn't feel all the way inclusive. - Lack of work culture. A workaholic culture is more dominant than anything. It can be very clique-y at times. 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 10.0 3.0 2.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 197717 Open Better on-boarding, consistent processes across all departments, hire people of diverse backgrounds (black, brown, queer), 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Jan 19th, 2021 05:43PM Jan 19th, 2021 05:43PM Code and Theory
