Cogswell waws one of the most enjoyable experiences of my teaching career. The students are driven and extremely talented. They never ceased to amaze me. The faculty was warm and welcoming and the entire school felt like a community.

Overall the work life at cogswell is lovely, the issues come in when the board of directors decides to flip everything on their head to make an extra dollar or two off of the students

Rewarding work but minimal pay
|
As a tutor I had hour long sessions with each student. Helping them out with whatever it was from their class that they didn't understand. I really enjoyed the work and had mostly good students.
There was an issue with having back-to-back sessions though, because there's no break time in between. And honestly for the level of work the seniors were doing, we were very underpaid.

My typical day from working there was going to the classes attended with, took the notes from my laptop & send them at the end of the class. Very pleasing, I was working in my own pace, I knew the teachers there & had a great experience with the staff after my classes.
I will miss the college due to relocating for personal issues but I hope another area with a very positive atmosphere will also give me the same feeling too!

Instructors here really go out of their way to help students learn to the best of their abilities, but the management seems to be clueless as to what makes a good school, and how to keep it running effectively.

Potential is there, but far from it.

Students tend to enjoy their time at this school, but some staff members will say otherwise.
I learned that a for-profit institution is that... For-profit.
The office spaces are unusual, at best. Be prepared to work in unusual conditions.
They expect you not to have a life outside of the workplace. Getting vacation or a day off approved is like pulling teeth.
The outlook for Cogswell is not clouded if the school does not improve its practices on handling staff.
