Had some fun events for employees during holidays or employee appreciation. A few nice people to work with.

A lot of negativity in the office, people throwing other people under the bus to save themselves and backstabbing. Lack of training or support from supervisors, they throw you into the job to sink or swim on your own. Not really any room for advancement. Poor compensation.

The collegiate housing staff I worked with in the actual MARKET were incredible, at first. A lot of emotionally driven individuals who were passionate about the outcome and development of the program. However, lack of guidance, growth and communication from corporate drove them into a bitter state and ultimately created a depressing environment as time went on.
|
This position is great for someone who is looking to possibly retire, is fresh out of college or was recently laid off and needs an "in-between" spot. Very low pay, little communication from corporate and no room from growth. A lot of things to consider when you're at the school and/or out in the field. Developing relationships with staff, students, parents, UTI and properties. Too much involvement for a job that is not a long term position. High turnover - Great concept, but needs a lot of changes that I do not foresee happening.
