Smoke and Mirrors
-Free catered lunch once a week
-They pay you to basically do nothing, since there is no work
Where do I begin? Upper management doesn't know what they're doing. Since I've worked there, they have changed the company name twice, changed focus three times and had rounds of layoffs only to inexplicably hire sales people. Things really started to go downhill after a new COO was appointed in early 2014. He clashed with a lot of people, made fun of the existing company culture, several employees and CEO, and changed the work from home policy. Suffice it to say, that guy was demoted to a lesser position. This company has lost it's prominent clients and wasted time and resources developing products that will never launch. There is basically no HR department, because HR is run by one person whose capability amounts to Googling what the company can and can't get away with. Seriously, what do you do if you have an issue with this person and need to report it to HR? Whoops, that person IS HR! Oh well, tough luck. RUN, don't walk away from this terrible, horrible, no good, very bad company.

Absolutely the most terrible company ever
There are no pros. The positive reviews on this site are all fake. I was duped into working at this company and I'm truly embarrassed. I'm embarrassed for anyone that has to deal with a CEO that has no clue and a CRO with no sales background. The investors must be ashamed of this farce.
Everything. They have a ping pong table and free lunch once a week...big deal. There's nothing to do there but play ping pong because they have no product, no sales, no revenue. It's truly amazing that this place is still functioning. I think it's a fake company.

Please fire yourselves. It's sad to watch and so many people know that you're all pretending. We know Colony has nothing to offer. Maybe an investigation into how this company is surviving should be launched. Such a weird place.

Start-Up with a great concept and product
1. Amazing atmosphere with intelligent people
2. Collaborative- your work directly correlates with the company's growth
3. Start up- Not for everyone but I love it
1. Not many except for the start up thing that involves constant change but it keeps things exciting.

Don't drink the Kool-Aid

Catered lunch on Thursday.

Product is continually changing. They look at successful SaaS companies and try to mirror their products and hope something "will bite" soon. Zero transparency within company. No sense of urgency. No sales. No direction. No culture. Upper management has no idea what they are doing nor does it seem like they genuinely care about the future of the company.

Great tech and great people
The people that I've worked with at ColonyLogic are some of the best co-workers I've ever been with. Everyone is friendly, helpful, smart and reasonable. One thing I particularly like is the quick 15 minute daily scrums that help to keep everyone on the same page, without wasting too much time in meetings. The environment has an "agile" startup like feel, without a lot of the usual startup insecurities and work/life balance compromises.
From a tech/learning standpoint the company has constantly given us great opportunities to learn and improve with the latest tools, python, django, mongodb, node.js, backbone and more. There is even a weekly tech oriented bookclub. ColonyLogic has given me great additions to my tech skillset.
Although the company is currently well funded and is making good revenue, it is not yet cash flow positive. As with any company in this position that introduces some risk with regards to long term planning.

Start-up is my thing
- Fun environment
- Open communication with my boss
- Smart and nice people
- Nice perks; metro stipend, snacks, free lunch on Thursdays
- Generous PTO
- Flexible
- As with most start-up, you have an opportunity to influence outside of your role. You're a big fish in a small pond and if you can learn a lot.
Be ready to roll-up your sleeves and do things outside of your job scope - this is a start-up.

A hungry start-up pushing the integration technology envelope
• Located in downtown LA's Southpark district, literally right across the street from Metro's Pico station. Easy commute from all corners of LA.
• Agressive development schedule in a fluid work environment keeps things interesting at all times
• Talented, well focused crew on all sides.
• Normal market level pay, but when the company achieves successes these achievements are acknowledged and rewarded.
• Great benefits structure for Medical
• Generous PTO structure
• Quick changes in developmental focus can create a "musical chairs" type reshuffling of available resouces.
• Dental benefits could be a little more comprehensive.
