There is a clear anti-racism plan, but students, staff, and faculty still perpetuate toxicity. The good is great, with wonderful people who look to better the lives of each other and students, but the politics of a small private institution will quickly drain you. The campus is progressive and innovative with each day bringing something new and students can be very thoughtful, empathetic and engaging or the polar opposite. Many times students go straight to the top which makes it difficult to make decisions as they could quickly be overturned or undermined by higher ups. High quality research is not encouraged nor valued. It is highly exclusive and their antiracist plan is not even scratching the surface. The block plan doesn't work. It's just a marketing tool. I've had 2 great supervisors and 3 very bad supervisors. The work life balance and experience depends on one's supervisor. Leadership has failed and continues down the same path. Good benefits The experience is based on your supervisor; some are great and some are very, very poor supervisors. Even the rules were different. To be expected, but also a NCAA handbook would have been helpful! It’s Colorado!!!!! Great athletes. While there are some wonderful people there, management is poor and shows clear favoritism. It is an institution with a lot of heart and good intentions. It offers students a truly incredible undergraduate college experience with a plethora of opportunities at their fingertips.
