Lots of good people on staff. Members are good folks for the most part. Free golf is always a nice perk to have as a broke college student. Would definitely work there again.

Great management, nice fellow employees. I worked from 7am - 1pm during the week and took care of different aged children. Facility was small but had lots of activities for the children to do.

A typical day is serving the members drinks and food on our specialty menu. I learned a lot from mixing drinks and setting up tables properly. The management was not very well put together, most of the time managers were unaware of staff whereabouts making my job somewhat harder than it needed to be. The hardest part to the job was manual labor setting up/breaking down events. The most enjoyable part was spending time with the members.

Started off well?

I was very excited for my job at Columbia, but it all went downhill from day one. I had no desk, no phone, no contacts, no email address, I was provided with very little information about my duties, it was a disaster.
The person that was to train me had too much other work on his plate and never had time for me, my manager always acted like I was a bother, the other managers got together to plot against me, the staff was told I fired someone that quit, and my manager then asked the person that quit to come back to work. Management cannot make up their mind what they want, but expect you to guess what they need,. They are not very good at this. Too much drama at this place.

Great team
|
A typical day of working at Columbia Country club would be a stressful day. I mean most times we have 3-4 events going on the same day not including weddings that are lovely on the weekends. We had a great team that always helped each other out and were very unique in many ways. Hardest part was dealing with management arguing with each other and giving incorrect orders and as well some customers who got a bit rattled up. But other then that is a very fun work place and I enjoyed all the people I've met.
