There is so much opportunity and potential here that it is hard to just quit; Nice people to work with; ability to easily move from company to company and industry to industry; Company is changing and growing, and it's moving, albeit slowly, in the right direction (nowhere to go but up); great healthcare and 401k benefits;

Challenging customer base; lack of normal technologies make for burdensome and highly inefficient workflow, and increases the margins for error; poor communication at times but even that is getting better! Most people in management positions should be replaced as they have been there so long that they don't care anymore which will eventually trickle down to the rest of the team; Pay could be better (but it is not horrible)...

The details are just as important as the big picture - don't overlook them; think and plan before you leap; Make sure the people you hire are the right people for the job (hire smart, capable and experienced over pretty and lazy); management must know how to lead by example (a title does not make you a manager); make sure departments are properly staffed (somebody must do the work - it's either technology or manpower- whatever source you choose make sure you have enough); Don't say one thing and do another (this kind of leader is hard to follow); Don't be a afraid of change; Support and value your people (it helps them work harder for you); the Sales teams are NOT gods - it is operations that maintains and nurtures those sales, otherwise you are just a one hit wonder! So treat sales and operations equally - you need them both to survive!
