Worst experience ever
|
I was bullied here by multiple other faculty. When I voiced concerns about how I did not feel prepared for a leadership role after just two semesters, I was overlooked and given no training. However, I was told that my experience in a significant area was not needed, and I was made to feel belittled for even offering my help. Work-life balance did not exist. One of my doctors told me that if I did not get out of this toxic environment, there was a good chance I would be hospitalized within six months. It was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life.

I loved the internship I decided to do within my university. I learned a lot from my boss and it was a great learning experience. It was a hectic work environment dealing with all the stats while simultaneously watching games, but not impossible.

Every employee is disposable

Very good, capable, trustworthy and competent employees are disposable if it suits their bottom line. No employee loyalty. Constant re-organization to meet bottom line goals. Poor management and disregard for employee talents. "Values" that are posted and painted all over campus are NOT adhered to for employees. Total sham.

Great school and great employees

I loved my time working there, everyone was so nice. However I do see a lot more turnover today because they aren't paid as much as other schools. I would say you need to stick it out to make it worth it in the long haul.

Exciting new opportunity to work with young people

Working at Concordia is simple, it's nice, the people are nice, the work experience is outstanding. However, it's morally challenging because the cost of attendance vs. the actual educational experience doesn't match. I enjoyed coaching there however the pay is tough for living in the Austin area.
