The top management tries to cover these up with culture improvement initiatives, but in reality they are not interested in making any improvements as they engage in unethical behavior (IT is one such area, where executive leadership distributes money to friends and past coworkers, lacking competition, performing lots of sole sourcing contracts with companies they have previous ties with from other places they worked at before). However, for all that good stuff, the company suffers on the technology front, where uneven leadership with frequent changes at the top have made for a chaotic transition, with many hiccups affecting regular staff. Getting anything pushed through takes months or years. This company rewards long-term commitment but without the big name recognition of its sibling institutions like the Fed or the FDIC, it will likely continue to have a hard time retaining talent.
