private:cozymeal https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1080673 Dec 26th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Cozymeal Customer Service Associate United States USA A Company That Acts Like They Care, But Really Do Not - some of the benefits are nice (dental, vision, healthcare) - the additional benefits (which were a large reason why I accepted), such as internet/phone stipend and a company computer were never even brought up with me after I got hired on. Even after a pay period. Where to start? - No thorough training in place. There are way too many complications with just being an associate here. Instead of just a basic system of how to do abc, you have to investigate 90% of the situations which led to delays in responses and general unproductivity. I didn't expect every situation to be easy, however, having to take 10+ minutes to figure out what an issue was simply because they do not require the other associates to provide accurate information is ridiculous. Especially in a very busy working environment. Very frustrating if you're someone who likes to get the job done and be productive in your day. - The team only cares about how the other associates are feeling. The guest/customers are not even the #1 here which is extremely strange. It's all about taking verbal abuse from frustrated associates (with the high unorganization, I can understand some of the frustration). Frustration is one thing, verbally abusing someone on your team is completely different. The Team is so focused on the hosts that they can't seem to fathom that basic respect should be a general standard among the company. Very juvenile. - The internet/phone stipend along with a company computer were additional benefits that were discussed with me, however, I never heard about them after getting hired. No one even mentioned getting me set up with direct deposit until after I had to mention it. That kind of information and the process should have been told to me during Orientation/training. It wasn't, which reverts back to the extreme lack of training. You're thrown on the phone while still having to learn the software, prices, how the experiences work, etc. Just a mess. A successful associate should feel confident on the phone, knowing they're giving accurate information to the guests. There was none of that here. Yes, you can fake it until you make it sometimes, but that shouldn't be your everyday. - Schedule: I was brought on full-time with the promise that when more associates were hired, I would get weekends off. There were about 2 new hires (totalling about 4 associates) and then I was told that they were done hiring. During the busiest season, nonetheless, and with the extremely high volume (back to back calls all day-8 hour days), it was a recipe for disaster. They needed to have at least 10 of us to be able to efficiently handle the high holiday volume. But nope, Cozymeal decides to put all of it on the new hire (me). I agreed to do take on weekends with the understanding that it was temporary and that I wouldn't be completely left alone during the weekend shifts. The weekend shifts were just as hectic and busy. I had "support" for one Saturday, then I was on my own. They left a confused and still learning new hire completely on their own on a weekend KNOWING that the volume is extreme. I felt that they completely set me up for failure. - Despite the extreme volume, lacklustre training, and no work/life balance, I still showed up and did my best 110% when many people probably would have just quit after a few days (understandably so). Any kind of thank you or genuine encouragement? Not really. Instead, the team believed it was best to reprimand me for a very small issue regarding another associate. This company is extremely short-staffed and the team decides to nitpick? Unprofessional and unappreciative. That situation really showed me where the priorities are for this company. It's not about the customers AT ALL. I was so excited to join this company but I see that the additional benefits were a lie to just get someone in there. Everyone is polite and friendly at the beginning but it turned out to be a complete sham. This was one of the most disappointing job experiences I've ever had. Cozymeal may have a nice benefits package with a bow on top, but it's all for show. There is so much disorganization and chaos with this company that they will not take accountability for. All start-ups have a rough couple of years and I would respect them a lot more if they would just own up to it and commit to making the onboarding process better. However, they choose to not care and not appreciate you which tells a lot about their character as a company. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 1.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1080673 Open Get it together! Do not bring in new employees on a ground that you know is extremely shaky. That will only lead to increased turnover and unhappy employees. Take responsibility for company issues and appreciate the hard work your incoming new hires are doing for your establishment. Take their concerns seriously because they don't HAVE to work for you. Additionally, ensure that the benefits you're offering are actually going to be given to your employees. There is no sense in lying about benefits to get employees in. That's going to backfire as well. Do better! 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 1.0 Jan 21st, 2021 09:08PM Jan 21st, 2021 09:08PM Cozymeal Food Producers
