Very unique technology I could work from home with flexible work teams, flexible hours, a creative environment. The tools were state of the art. The company was inadequately funded and this prevented them from take it to the next step. Eventually they were acquired by Boeing . Key leaders in the company departed early. 1.0 POSITIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 32329 Open Make sure you have deep enough pockets to fund the program for the long haul. 0.0 [] No No 0.0 Jan 21st, 2021 09:20PM Jan 21st, 2021 09:20PM CPU Tech

Not crazy like a startup yet intense, focussed work. Company's ability to execute and generate increasing revenue, small size makes it hard if you end up with an manager that you don't gel with. The only way is out. 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 3.0 4.0 3.0 32329 Open Management knows what they are doing, don't know if it is in the best interest of the employees, the investors or the company. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 4.0 Jan 21st, 2021 09:20PM Jan 21st, 2021 09:20PM CPU Tech
private:cputech https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=32329 Feb 14th, 2012 12:00AM Open Open CPU Tech Cpu Tech is an interesting place to work; but I feel they missed the Market point for Anti Tamper products. 3 weeks paid vacation, nice people to work with, nice location in Pleasanton, interesting technology a good place to learn about cryptography and anti Tamper technology I felt the management, did not get complete "buy in " from the potential customers. ASIC were designed and built with no real target goals from customers. To many design goals were based on a wink and a nod. Most of the schedules and deadlines were missed. 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 3.0 3.0 0.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 32329 Open Define the product in writing, get approval from more than one customer. If the ROI is acceptable then publish a schedule and see if the customer can still use the part before putting capital into building it. 0.0 [] No Yes 0.0 Jan 21st, 2021 09:20PM Jan 21st, 2021 09:20PM CPU Tech
private:cputech https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=32329 Jun 24th, 2008 12:00AM Open Open CPU Tech Principal Software Engineer Pleasanton, CA Great people, old technology, not agile. The opportunities to work with smart, talented people are fantastic. Some of the projects are very interesting while others will have you working on very old technology. They use proprietary tools in lue of industry standards. This can have a negative effect on productivity and on career growth for employees. If you can deal with the limited exposure to industry standard tools and can adjust to the command/control management style of the founders then this may be a good home for hardware engineers. CPU Tech is not a good environment for software engineers if they wish to actually build new software that impacts the success of the company. Most of the software is built using out-dated technologies. You will be stuck in the mud for a long time. 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 4.0 3.5 0.0 3.5 4.0 3.0 32329 Open Focus on fewer projects and make sure they are executed very well so engineers can feel a degree of pride in the finished products. Don't spread resources too thin. 0.0 [] No No 0.0 Jan 21st, 2021 09:20PM Jan 21st, 2021 09:20PM CPU Tech
