It's a fun time to be at Crelate, everyone is encouraged to contribute across the teams so you have opportunity to impact the product being developed as well as the business and its processes. If you enjoy being challenged and outside of your comfort zone because it brings growth, Crelate is a good place to invest your time. Crelate is growing quickly which means there are lots of opportunities to grow and to have significant impact on the future of the company. I have been given opportunities to work on special projects that are outside my job description and have learned and grown so much. Most importantly, I always feel like I have the support I need to be successful. If you take initiative and have great ideas, they will be heard which is such a great feeling. PTO is competitive, Office culture is great, and I absolutely love the people that I work with. Crelate also responded incredibly well to the pandemic and acted swiftly, responsibly and we each got personal calls from the CEO because our leadership truly cares. If you are new to the team, you are able to ramp up quickly and take ownership of the things you are working on. For the Product Team, no ideas are bad ideas and brainstorming and collaboration is encouraged, as well as a "take a stab at it, and see what you come up with" approach that empowers everyone to bring their uniqueness and passion to the table. Learning environment - Crelate provides a communal team experience while still challenging you to succeed on your own. 2. Team - It's hard to enjoy a place of employment if you don't like the people. Crelate has an incredible group and has fostered an excellent collection of individuals. 3. Communication - From the top down, communication is very transparent. From each team lead to the top leadership, the team will go above and beyond to connect and engage with their employees. 4. Flexibility - Both from a scheduling perspective as well as a PTO. There is definitely an open policy for flexibility within a day-to-day as well as a generous PTO policy and Winter Break. Growth opportunities are clearly defined and facilitated through regular one on ones and reviews. There are very few cons but it can be initially tough. Crelate expects a lot and believes the best way to learn is to do. Glowing reviews from customers keep the team busy, with a focus on doing what's right by the customer. Autonomy and creativity are expected. For still claiming startup status (when it was founded in 2012) Crelate lost it’s transparency and “open door policy” that startups tend to boast about. During the Coronavirus pandemic, the company started off with an all-hands meeting that was positioned to “care” for employees wellbeing, and the CEO assured concerned employees that layoffs were not in the plan because the company had great “cash flow management” and funding. However, 2 weeks later, 25% of its employees were laid off instead of furloughed. Left without healthcare coverage, but positioned it as “we’re taking care of you” with a measly severance package. All I’m saying is, don’t believe the “small company” and “we care about our employees” rhetoric that Crelate brags about. The CEO will openly lie and tell people not to worry about layoffs and turn around 2-weeks later let go of a quarter of the workforce during an already uncertain time. A majority of Crelate’s customers are small 1-2 person recruiting companies, who are likely struggling to find work during the pandemic, resulting in Crelate losing customers by default. Everyone is set up for success, and management genuinely cares about your goals. Environment is lax, but they expect big things from each employee. Communication is rock solid and ideas are always heard. None.
