There's an expectation that you work HARD but its fun, and rewarding, and management wants to make sure you're actually learning and growing and enjoying what you do. They go to great lengths to make sure people are happy and feel appreciated. Great perks. Some growing pains. Not always great communication about upcoming changes. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 1177112 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Jan 22nd, 2021 03:41PM Jan 22nd, 2021 03:41PM Cross River Bank Banks
private:crossriverbank https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1177112 Jan 10th, 2021 12:00AM Open Open Cross River Bank Fort Lee, NJ They do appreciate you to a certain point and reward with fluff Good work to life balance Not high stress They have a bunch of great “benefits” - dry cleaning services; haircuts on site; summer treats (go around giving ice cream and such); monthly liquidity (food and drinks + alcoholic beverages) Full health/dental/vision is a big plus plus plus. A lot of the mentioned above is fluff, moving up is way more political than other places (acknowledging this is normally political, its much higher than the norm). A few coworkers and myself worked hard and brought new ideas for the team which were implemented, promotions were promised and nobody got it. They tell you “average yearly raise % and normal bonus % that everyone gets.” The company does keep you happy with small little things which is nice for work, but in the end we are working to grow and be compensated. As much as I hate to say this, the company is Jewish owned and you can tell there’s favoritism working in your favor if you are Jewish. I’ve seen people stick around or get promoted due to this and people wondering how/why they are still able to work when they don’t do much. Also, the biggest thing appears to be a mindset of thinking great talent can *easily* be replaced. My own team lost 2 great members because lack of opportunity to grow and my team has suffered over and over. Realistically I’m on my way out and my team will go through it a 3rd time. Quick to blame when something goes wrong. Always bothered me how fingers were being pointed faster than it being corrected. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 1.0 3.0 5.0 5.0 1.0 4.0 2.0 1177112 Open The company is a great landing spot if you want to level your career and don’t want/need to grow. If you want growth then its a great resume builder, but wouldn’t you want to retain your own talent and grow than replacing with new people who have to relearn and possibly be worse? 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 4.0 Jan 22nd, 2021 03:41PM Jan 22nd, 2021 03:41PM Cross River Bank Banks

private:crossriverbank https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1177112 Jan 6th, 2021 12:00AM Open Open Cross River Bank United States USA Uncertainty Our CEO has a great vision and he’s very charismatic! The environment can be conducive to demonstrating your ambition. Not all managers make good leaders. There is very little work/life balance. You can encounter several people once you enter the office but it is rare that anyone will say good morning back. Although some departments encourage open communication, others rely heavily on the use of instant messaging; this leads to misinterpretation. Training is disorganized and there is no clear development plan to get you to the next level. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 2.0 1.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 1177112 Open Emotional intelligence is key in the workplace. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Jan 22nd, 2021 03:41PM Jan 22nd, 2021 03:41PM Cross River Bank Banks

private:crossriverbank https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1177112 Nov 11th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Cross River Bank Finance/Accounting Fort Lee, NJ Good Growth - Both personal and business wise Great place to learn and get your hands wet. Not a place for someone who thinks they can just get by. The number of partners and clients continue to increase. Benefits continue to improve. - New building being created and should be finished in 2021 featuring amenities like a gym, cafeteria, nap rooms, etc. - Free haircuts, dry cleaning, snacks & drinks With Covid around, coming into office is optional. Growing pains as more work needs to be done and covered for. No time to socialize and connect with other co-workers esp. ones not in your department. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 1177112 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Jan 22nd, 2021 03:41PM Jan 22nd, 2021 03:41PM Cross River Bank Banks

private:crossriverbank https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1177112 May 20th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Cross River Bank Manager Fort Lee, NJ A company that cares for it's employees I have worked at 8 other companies through my career, no other place comes close to how much CRB extends itself to make sure the employees are well taken care of and happy. Medical, Vision, Dental covered by CRB, 401K matching, equity, full kitchens, game rooms, massage, hair cuts, incredible peer to peer awards, diverse work staff, management leads by example and a lot of career path and opportunities Its a place for independent people, not a lot of hand-holding and training, up to you to get up to speed and understand the products/services and sink or swim from there. If you want to do a mediocre job and just punch a time clock, not the place for you. Biggest challenge is that we are getting into new brand new emerging markets quickly, not a lot of guidance on how to navigate and experiencing a lot of growing pains in the last couple years 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 1177112 Open more training for managers and nail down the bonus plan more consistently throughout the firm 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Jan 22nd, 2021 03:41PM Jan 22nd, 2021 03:41PM Cross River Bank Banks
