Remote first company that has amazing culture. People are so nice. Compensation is on par with average though there is no 401k matching. Few opportunities for internal growth but could be a factor of macro economy.

You need to produce or you will be put on a PIP and managed out of the company. Don't be fooled by the friendly managers. They are desperately trying to reduce cashburn.

Public communications dont match reality

Job demands keep increasing and no one wants to speak up about it because there is a two faced culture where managers say its ok to take care of yourself but then there are consequences if you aren't able to work the extra hours and make sure your job isn't a burden to anyone if you take time off. Great vision but massive growing pains. Leaders need to take stock of how much they are actually asking employees to do, I have never seen more people burning out and we study burnout at the company. The irony is painful.
Middle management was mostly promoted from within all around the same time as the company grew. They don't know how to hold the space between higher up execution demands and employee needs. The end result is managers demanding too much of employees and calling it developmental while all the middle managers rose up through the ranks it feels like there is a wall that tired overworked employees voices crash against.
