This happened at FULLERTON College to me as well. I could not get anyone at all to help me when I first started in the dark room to show me how that darkroom worked. The staff all went in to the darkroom to help the full time instructor at the time of the first darkroom demo ( which was the class before mine) they told me they could not help me ( the new hire at the school). You use your professor's syllabus to view the schedule for the next day's lecture material, and prepare your session plan accordingly. You send out e-mail notifications to all students enrolled in the class you are the SI Leader for to remind them of the upcoming time and location for your SI session. You then go to that professor's lecture and take notes as necessary as if you were a student in that course, then later that same day or whenever you have your scheduled session you show up early and run your session according to your plan. The hardest part of the job is public speaking.
