I have worked at CFF for almost 5 years and I been able to move up and change departments. Lots of opportunity for lateral movement and vertical movement depends on department. Done a good job at keeping everyone connected and in tune with our mission since COVID.

Most miserable job experience ever

Had hours and hours of CBT then was given a cubicle nowhere near other members of my team; not mentored, but expected to hit the ground running. Stress level and expectations were extremely high, help miserly given. I felt like I was set up to fail so couldn't wait to quit

Great cause, poor implementation
|
CFF is an insider's club. The top 10 people take home salaries from $300,000 to more than a million, plus heavy bonuses (over $100k) while the regular employees start at about $45,000 a year and get no annual bonus whatsoever. The organization is great at investing in research that will bring in more and more royalties, but the staff who makes things happen only get the short end of the stick.

Working with the Senior Director was horrible!
|
The conferences were great. It was fun preparing for and attending them on an annual basis. The co-workers were great and the pay was fine. Working for CFF overall was okay however the Director created a very hostile work environment.
