It's a whole lot of work, early hours, daily deadlines, in a weird industry. But if you do it, you'll get a ton of amazing clips, experience in the industry, and you'll definitely be able to say you did it. Plus - healthcare for working as a writer! | Newspaper industry is scary. It feels like a constant threat of going under/firing/etc. That's going to be the case at most newspapers, I'd imagine. And the deadlines can feel almost unrealistic - you can feel like you're never going to get on top it, no matter how hard you work.
