Leadership is very poor from the upper echelons and offer very little in the way of support, protection or guidance. If you have a good work ethic you are rewarded with more work. A good indicator of DCTC's culture is that people where resigning their positions without having another position or job to go too. They are direct and easy to understand on things you learn about. Along with the High School Tesa side of Automotive. My department and fellow instructors were encouraging and supportive during my time teaching at DCTC. Fellow departments and staff embraced the values and culture of DCTC. I still maintain contact with staff and several students from previous years; I enjoy seeing and hearing about their progress and accomplishments. I absolutely loved my roles while working at the college. I had four titles in five years, and each step included a bump in salary. We had a highly entrepreneurial President that embraced creating new initiatives and developming new minors/majors. Our division was allowed to operate almost as if it was its own business.
