Decent pay, evening snacks or I could say dinner will be provided.

There are no must have policies.
For example we did not had a holiday list, attendance, leave policies.
No health insurance(group insurance. You have to buy it outside for yourself.
No reimbursement policies.
No work from home option.
Exploitation in the name of startup culture. Anything/anytime you question (culture, work-life balance, pay, policies), for sure you will get startup culture response.
The management does not trust their employees. They maintain spies to understand lunch/coffee time discussions.
As of now most of the leads have left the company.
If you resign, you will be kicked out without notice period pay. Because there are no policies for this. During notice period, if your computer is not at your desk or you are not able to login, think that thats your last working day.
Management using unparliamentary for their employees is very common(Ex F-words, B-words).
If you are the last person to leave the office for that day, you need power off servers,ACs, lights and lock. In case if you forget to switch off one of the light or AC, the next day you will get a class for sure.

(1) You don't know what GOOD is until you know the BAD -- and Datagres is where you get that experience to know the difference ! This is true for all aspects: personal values, tech/business leadership, tech stack, product design, startup processes, etc
(2) If you can survive more than 6 months here with your sanity intact, you can survive anywhere !
(3) Join if you want to go back to a typical Indian college -- where you build only half-baked, poorly envisioned prototypes; where you listen to an out-of-touch "professor" ramble incoherently throughout the day about "When I was in Sun/NetApp, ..."
(4) Srinivasan is no longer the CEO, and the new guy (can't quite blame him) doesn't meddle with engineering
* Do NOT trust the reviews from Sep/Dec 2015, these are fake reviews planted under pressure from the founder

(1) Single founder startup, so its all "I, me myself" -- no different opinion/POV/idea, etc allowed; only "Hey, listen to me ..."
(2) Un-ethical behavior starts from the top -- founder will call each employee to his cabin, close the door and complain about other employees, customers, partners, CEO & investors; you are supposed to quietly nod your head in agreement.
(3) Founder refuses to come out of the 1990s - doesn't use & stops others from using tools, languages, etc that he doesn't understand, eg. nothing other than C & bash, even for front-end stuff -- actual quote: "Java/Python are not good; in one week, I can re-write the whole management GUI in C, and it will be better than anything you can do"

Some opportunity to learn if you have no prior experience - but to be honest there are no pros to working here. If you don't have any job and you are unemployed probably take this up (but make sure you have exhausted every other option)

Too many to even write, avoid this place. Few things that would turn anyone off
1. Very poor management (it never gets worse than this)
2. Average pay
3. No trust or respect - its a sweatshop, get used to being abused everyday
4. Poor product engineering
5. A peer group that can survive only by sucking up
6. No work life balance, no work from home no benefits whatsoever
7. Lacks direction and vision
