You have taken a market leader and destroyed it. You have created a very toxic environment and have your own agendas. You couldn't care less about your employees and hire complete and totally inept people to fill mgmt. positions. Your communications skills are pathetic at best, you do not tell the truth and avoid questions from personnel, unless they are submitted prior to the meeting so you have time to choose which ones you want to answer. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 20.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 09:41PM Jan 23rd, 2021 09:41PM Dayton Superior

You have no to blame but you. The poorest management decision I have ever seen in my 30 years in Manufacturing. Why would you allow a CEO to fire your senior level sales team because they were making unlimited commission. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 20.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 09:41PM Jan 23rd, 2021 09:41PM Dayton Superior

Guys running the company have multi Million $ paydays coming when the company is sold. That is all they really care about and unfortunately it is on the backs of the employees. private:daytonsuperior https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=6123 Oct 29th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Dayton Superior United States USA Understand the situation right now 1.) Very thin organizational structure . If you like accountability and being able to see the direct impact of your efforts and work then Dayton is the place for you! Practically no middle management layer, your ideas don't get stuck through the management filter on the way to the top...They can get stuck at the top though as the execs of the company are overloaded with their strategic tasks and tactical everyday business decisions. You will be exposed to lots of new areas professionally as there isn't enough manpower to handle tasks; its a great place to get some exposure to multiple business facets of manufacturing and building materials. 2.) The people truly are great. As you can see with other reviews the people are also highly opinionated. It is a direct result of the blood sweat and tears that people have poured into the company in many cases and the level of impact each person has on the company. It makes for some truly knowledgeable people that know the business and care a lot about it. Dayton is trying to sell or divest parts of the business, the leaders openly discuss it and it's not a secret. The same PE firm has owned the company for 9 years (industry average is closer to 4/5) and the leadership regime of pre 2017 built a very gilded organization that was running on fumes and near collapse. It has been a very challenging year or restructuring and short term decisions as new company leadership tried to save the company. Close friends were let go, products and their support teams trimmed and drastic decisions spreadsheet decisions needed were made to save the company financially. Those of us left have been running a marathon at a sprinters pace and the culture is showing it. Lack of transparency and communication from leadership on where we came from, where we are going and how we are getting there is causing the vast majority of the discontent. Other than the current state of the culture and employee morale, the company does appear to be doing much better from a spreadsheet perspective. Any reader who has been with a PE firm owned company has experienced what Dayton Superior is going through. The sooner the company sells and gets a fresh cash investment the better! 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 1.0 4.0 5.0 1.0 5.0 2.0 3.0 6123 Open Communicate more and try to be more transparent. Speculation and rumors will continue to fill the void until then and many people are operating in the org with bad information / forming conclusions off of hearsay. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 4.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 09:41PM Jan 23rd, 2021 09:41PM Dayton Superior
