The manager in that I reported to was more interested in advancement and the social side of management rather than the people managed. As long as you did your job and kept on the good side the manager all was good. With that being said, overall Dayton Superior is a great place to work. It was do or die with minimal direction. There was a contentious relationship with the union when I started which didn't help. Mandatory overtime because the company was under performing. One day off a week. 10 hour days. Sometimes asked to work with no days off for weeks at a time. Took its toll on the employees hence employees began to get injured. Annual raises and advancement were put on hold. Use to be a nice place to work. I left the company for a better opportunity, since the car company has hired someone for the role I was in. Although the headquarters staff is less than 100 people, the building is newer and nicely furnished.
