Also be more of a sold foundation i.e staff are not worried about what kind of mood the 'CEO' is in, on a day to day basis. The company has bundles of good people and great clients. Just needs to be run as a company, not a vanity project. 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": "Operations Director", "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 1489188, "responseDateTime": "2017-12-06T09:29:54.447", "translationMethod": null, "response": "Many thanks for your review. To address the issues listed above, the management at DBD has now completely changed, the previous management is no longer within the business and we're headed up by three new directors following a recent acquisition.\r\n\r\nThrough speaking to our HR manager and senior management, the feedback we are getting from employees is really great. Our main priority is to ensure that all members of the team are prospering and progressing, regardless of their seniority or age. We do this by sitting down with everyone individually and discussing their career goals both long term and short term, as well as their general interests outside of work and what motivates them.\r\n\r\nThe company directors now have 1-on-1's with all team member's once a week where everyone can be completely open and talk about any issues they may be having. On a day-to-day basis, the company directors also sit amongst the teams, as opposed to in separate offices, so that there are no hierarchies and everybody feels involved. Any issues addressed to HR are dealt with seriously and professionally to ensure people are happy in their work.\r\n\r\nThe agency which has now acquired DBD has an extremely low staff turnover rate (30% lower than the UK national average for agencies) which we're confident will soon be the case at DBD.\r\n\r\nWe're also pleased to say we're moving to a brand new office, designed especially for us, in East London in January... so no more cold winters/hot summers! Wishing you all the very best for the future!", "responseOriginal": null, "countNotHelpful": 0}] REGULAR No No 0.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 09:46PM Jan 23rd, 2021 09:46PM DBD Media

private:dbdmedia https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1352447 Jan 19th, 2017 12:00AM Open Open DBD Media United Kingdom GBR Great This is an enjoyable place to work: the people are really supportive, friendly and make for a great team to work with on a daily basis. There is very little in the form of office politics, and people generally get along with each other and offer assistance when needed. The management is also genuinely interested in you and developing your skills, so DBD Media is an ideal place if you want to get to the next step in your career. Being a small agency means you can end up juggling a lot of different work- although this is a matter of personal preference and is not necessarily a con. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 4.0 1352447 Open 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": "Managing Director", "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 1380191, "responseDateTime": "2017-09-08T06:36:03.743", "translationMethod": null, "response": "Thank you for your comments, really good to hear. private:dbdmedia https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1352447 Nov 2nd, 2016 12:00AM Open Open DBD Media Account Manager Covent Garden, England Great work, great people & culture I started at DBD when it was still a relatively small search agency. It had that “start up” feel to it, which was really exciting to be part of. You really felt like you were fully involved in the agency, and that you had a chance to influence the direction. There was a strong bond between team members; really smart people enjoying learning from each other at the same time as enjoying each other’s company in and out of the office. Everyone was really down to earth, from the bottom to the top, so this also helped create a great culture. We had an interesting mix of exciting and diverse clients to work on, and the location was excellent. Although the location was excellent, the office itself wasn't great. It was too small and cramped once we started to grow. We had one toilet to share between everyone, and the temperature was always an issue... too hot in summer and too coled in winter. (The office has moved to a new location now though, so I'm sure this is no longer an issue) A good bonus structure would have been good to reward team members for going the extra mile and delivering additional revenue for the business. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 5.0 1352447 Open Continue to keep the great culture alive, it's so important in a workplace! 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 4.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 09:46PM Jan 23rd, 2021 09:46PM DBD Media

Firstly, I'm really sorry that you didn't have a good experience working at DBD, and hope that your current role is more satisfying and fulfilling. Over the last 16 years we've worked really hard at developing a fun, friendly and non-political culture at the agency, and we have always tried to deliver great results for our clients. The vast majority of people who have worked at the agency have left on a very positive and amicable note, and many are still friends. In your case it seems that we go this wrong somehow, and we are trying to do everything we can to make sure that our mistakes are not repeated. To address some of your issues: everyone now has a 121 meeting with their manager every couple of weeks, as well as frequent team meetings, and we hope that these provide a good forum to air any issues or concerns. Secondly, we have an HR consultant who is available one day a week for a confidential career clinic, to help understand any problems and help us get back on track. Finally, as MD my door is always open and I'm very happy to discuss issues with anyone in the company - we really do try to be transparent and open in this respect. Regarding the comment about sexism, we take this incredibly seriously. Our HR consultant has talked to all female members of staff - over half the company - and this doesn't seem to be something that others are experiencing at the moment - so we're sorry it's something you felt when you were at the agency. DBD has always had about a 50-50 male/female split, and the majority of our management team is female - we also actively promote from within where we can. If you'd like to discuss this aspect of your review with me, or with our HR consultant, we would be very happy to hear from you, and will try to resolve this.", "responseOriginal": null, "countNotHelpful": 0}] REGULAR No No 0.0 Jan 23rd, 2021 09:46PM Jan 23rd, 2021 09:46PM DBD Media

private:dbdmedia https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1352447 Sep 5th, 2016 12:00AM Open Open DBD Media Bookkeeper Covent Garden, England Book-keeper I was fortunate to work for DBD Media in its early days, when it was a start-up business in the early 2000's to 2013 and have seen it progress to a well-respected Digital Marketing specialist who strives to deliver positive outcomes for their clients. I was still involved with the company despite moving abroad, and only due to the time difference was I unable to complete my working association. In my field of Accounts and payroll I found DBD Media to be one of the most professional and well run companies. The working environment within the company was always innovative and collaborative - with employees actively contributing ideas to improve internal processes and more importantly client performance. The office space near the end of my time at DBD Media was not sufficient for the number of employees due to growth, but I understand that the company now occupies bigger premises. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 2.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 5.0 1352447 Open Continue keeping the staff engaged and innovating, plus reinforcing the processes that have kept the company growing in the past decade. 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": "Managing Director", "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 1070643, "responseDateTime": "2016-10-31T10:03:44.27", "translationMethod": null, "response": "Thanks for your feedback.
