I have been in sales my entire career when I was hired on by DBSI
I wasn't sure what to expect, as I knew very little about the banking industry.

There are many great reasons to work at DBSI, but the most important one in my opinion is respect. DBSI actually values its employees and I think because they built the company from the ground up with a lot of hard work and determination, they recognize when their employees share that same drive and help them to grow as well. I believe so much in this company that I've even helped a couple of my previous work colleagues to come on board as well. This position doesn't feel like a job, but rather the last company that I will have to work for. I've worked for a number of companies where certain people have to carry the weight of others, but here, they really spend a great deal of time and effort to find amazing candidates and it really makes a difference on the work environment. Yes, the work is very challenging, however I would never look to go anywhere else as this place is really a gold mine among places to work for.

The only con I can think of at the moment is that I live 10 minutes away. Perhaps I should move closer to get rid of the brutal commute. ;)

I've been with DBSI for 5+ years and if I didn't like the company, I would not be with the company. A company with a vision to transform the ever evolving landscape of the banking industry. They have a solid understanding of what is needed within the financial industry for the sake of the customer in some areas and for the sake of the financial institution in others.

The execution of these ideas are lack luster and poorly received by the financial institution they claim to design and build for. The is due inpart but not limited to a solo based company. One hand does not know what the other is doing. They waste good talent by being to afraid yo try new ideas. DBSI is built on inginuity that has now grown stale. As a company we are not agile enough to face outside competition which is laughable since the resources are available to right the ship. From the perspective of the worker bee the queen is just accustomed to business as usual and is to afraid to change strategy. There is the mentality of if it isn't broke don't fix it. Sadly our wheel is broken and needs new tires that can handle the terrain it claims it is equipped to handle for the sake of our customers interest.
Simply put, dinasaurs were not equipped to avoid the coming impact. Leadership below the C and Principle level are too afraid to challenge and those above are too afraid to investigate the value of flexibility and knowing when to scrap a bad idea and start over.
All of this will cause a stagnant reality to come. Sadly they are training for the sprint when it should be for the marathon.
