Fast paced and never ending
|
The Manager was nice, but the work was tiring. He did go out of his way to help. I made alot of good friends there. The pay was fair and they were always understanding about sick days and time off.

Good people, poor management
|
The doctors and PAs are very good, and coworkers are easy to work with, but management needs to be improved. Employees are overworked and understaffed. Two of my coworkers retired and no new employees were brought in, so three of us were asked to do the work of five. New patients can be scheduled quickly but it can take months to get an appointment if you're an established patient. They insist that physicians continue to take on new patients without the time or support to care for the ones they have.
Benefits are very good, with accruing PTO twice monthly. Medical insurance is available at either 70/30 or 80/20 and there is no need for referrals.

Good team/family work environment
|
Smaller hospital so it is like a family. Tuition reimbursement, 401k matching eith increased 1% each year, good PTO, work every 3rd weekend as RN and every other holiday (8hour shifts in ICU for holiday). Work culture was very good until Covid hit and perks got erased (tuition, 401k, raises, pto cut, short staffing, over worked). But overall, was a good company. Hopefully can recover after covid pandemic.

Used to be good place to work, not anymore

Pay has not kept up with industry standards. Stress is through the roof due to coworker’s attitudes. The one thing that hasn’t changed, employees do care about the patients. Patients are everyone’s number one priority.

Dangerous for Patients and Staff
|
Nurses are asked to inject IV pain meds without doctors orders to sedate patients and improve work flow. Then you’re ostracized, if you want a physician order. Would not send anyone there for care that you love and even like a little.

Unless you’re a doctor, nurse, or practicing medical professional, you’re probably not going to able to afford much while working here.
My specific department CAPS at a rate that most other hospitals exceed within 6mo/1yr of working there.
Family culture with most people being friendly and looking out for each other.
Success isn’t based on job performance but how well you can “yes-man” your way through management

One of the best jobs I ever had
|
The hospital is amazing. The staff are knowledgeable and caring. I thoroughly loved my job here. I learned so much and I felt well supported by coworkers and management. If I still lived in New Jersey I would be working there now as a nurse. I did not want to leave my job but extenuating home circumstances didn’t allow me to continue my employment.
