Amazing Company and Great Coworkers.

I thoroughly enjoyed working at Degree Controls as a Firmware Engineer. Managers here are helpful and don't shy away from helping you through road blocks and actually teach and train employees as needed. Small yet strong engineering team. Use of latest technology and processes (which was refreshing to experience at a small company) this enables engineers to focus on their part of the job which is design and development. Collaborative environment. Work Life balance. Kind people.
Winter (3 months) can be a little challenging in NH but that is a small hurdle compared to the many Pros Degree Controls has to offer!

When I worked there the company was a good place to work. I dont have much information on the current status. I enjoyed my time there. All of the people I worked with were very professional.

Degree Controls is a great company to work for. Sure there has been some transitions but what company in today's world does not have transition. The company is small and there are times when multiple hats need to be worn however the opportunities to grow are their if you are willing to work for them. Overall the success of the company is due to a great management team and general workforce who take pride in their jobs and the ability to meet our customers needs both new and old in a timely manner supplying quality products at a reasonable cost.

Stressful, poorly managed

A poorly managed company that expects the Moon and stars from its employees. Employee turnover extremely high. Opportunity for advancement or pay raise is essentially zero. Middle management is entrenched, some with abrasive personalities, all with us vs them attitude. Workplace culture is dysfunctional... examples: bullying employees into "mandatory fun team building" exercises; more than one employee was dismissed shortly after returning from sick leave. The benefits were not bad, but the providers changed yearly. The most enjoyable part of the job was leaving it behind.

constant changing job requirements with little-to-no notice

managers were unwilling to guide in new projects, expected knowledge of you which you did not have due to lack of experience and projects each being new and custom to the company. did not receive credit or praise for any work done, some jobs were given credit to others.
very fun and interesting projects, just little oversight and poor management made the atmosphere negative.

good benefits from the company, but you are expected to just "figure it out" or already have an understanding of EVERYthing. If you complete something, don't expect feedback unless it's negative. at DegreeC, there is ALWAYS negative feedback. oh, and, just in case you thought you might receive credit on something -- don't forget that your documents will be saved over with someone else's name on them. management can be flexible, but they lack in teaching skills and actual MANAGEMENT. it is a small company and everybody knows everything about everyone. i would not go back, even with a pay increase.
