Trailblazing But A Little Political

Good benefits. State of the art tools were provided for both teachers and students. A very inclusive and diverse institution. Academic freedom. Trailblazers in education.

Work environment can be a little too political. Pay raise is dependent on how often you update your portfolio of academic accomplishment/s; no clear system. Faculty manual of guidelines, as well as the students’ manual, are very vague need some serious updating. Middle management is not fully credible nor dependable.

Nice School but needs improvement on some area

Pay rate is quite okay compared to other schools. Very extensive library materials and computer laboratory facilities.
|
Politics in the faculty area is too much. Most especially in the School of Management and Information Technology. Many power-hungry faculty who wants to take control of certain departments. Would prefer hiring friends to teach (who sucks at teaching) compared to those who are already capable to teach it. Faculty gossip is also too much.

- take the desire to innovate to heart and act on it. A lot of people see Benilde as the a great education company. It needs to create those reforms in order to fulfill the brand promise.
- be good and kind to your people; support those who contribute to the betterment of the school and not reward those who do not perform; value performance and integrity over tenure/seniority/friendship.
- transform the place from a laidback atmosphere to one that values growth and the growth of its people
