They micromanage and have no idea of actually how to do the work. Completely not in touch with their employees. Do not have enough employees to work and training is very poor. Do not even try and ask for PTO - they already told us it will be denied. The only positive is that the co-workers are nice, but everyone is very down and overwhelmed. The pay is not great. Half of my gross income in each paycheck is deducted for health insurance (I get coverage for my child and spouse though) ● Job security and advancement As long as you work and know how to work, they will keep you because this company is trying to use every second of the employees’ time to work, so they hire many fewer people than they need for the heavy load. Therefore you should be working nonstop and never worry about losing the job ● Management The stupidest , most ridiculous, and dumbest management I ever seen. ● Culture Busy, busy, busy, and always too busy. Rushing to do every thing. This pharmacy mails comfort medications to hospice patients all over the country, you are handling controlled substances all the time. Having the job done this way is not safe for the clients ● Overall The only reason I would recommend you to work here is you can’t find any other place to work. Only take it temporarily until you find your dream job. They always need people to work so badly due to the insanely busy environment and the huge turnover rate. Don’t expect anything from this place. I applied for PTO 3 times and got denied 2 times, and the most hilarious thing was that the manager told me there is no flexibility for PTO even though I needed that day for doctors appointment. When I gave the 2 weeks letter, I tried not to disturb the busy workflow and gave the manager the heads up that I would need to use one of the PTO for the paperwork of the new job. He called and texted me giving me 2 options: “you come to work for the next two weeks without being absent or take today as your last day.” He created this threatening and hostile situation because I was leaving! Doesn’t matter if you’re certified the pay is very low. Coworkers are nice, there’s no room for actual growth, will give you a lot of task to do, but you will still make low money. The pharmacists were all great minus a select few who tried to micro manage far more than what their job description allowed for.
