During the school year I had the opportunity to be a work-study student in the library. I was able to give in a schedule that was flexible for me and I was able to interact with students that had problems on their computers or homework assignments. Overall it was very welcoming, my coworkers were very engaged with the student body and catering to others.

There were no cons I was able to help others with whatever they needed.

I was never onboarded properly by my supervisor, who has held various positions around campus for over 20 years. His programs continue to lose funding, however he just continues to be placed in new departments to ruin them. Rather than explain to me the expectations of my new position, he left it up to my coworkers. He does not know anything that is actually happening in our department, instead he referrs me to my peers for answers to my questions because he does not make it a point to know anything. The school's president seems to be preoccupied with celebrity culture to the detriment of the school's actual problems. The building that my office is located in has leaks in the roofs. The tiles in my office were molded and covered with water marks when I first arrived. One tile was replaced and within weeks, it also had water marks on it. Many in our building have suffered from breathing ailments such as bronchitis which we believe is a result of our working conditions. The AC frequently goes out in the summer and the heat frequently goes out in the winter.

Take better care of your facilities so that employees have better working conditions. Also evaluate the supervisors more often because some of them are simply collecting paychecks until retirement with little results to show for their "work."
