As a research organization, this ought to be a top notch firm to work for if you're into economics and giving policy advice.
|
The administration is weak and makes odd decisions -- or sometimes even takes a very long time to make decisions. People are leaving the organization because decisions about contracts are taking too long.

People are very friendly and the typical German hirarchy is not existent; everybody is caalled by first name. The job was very flexible, could more or less come and go when I wanted as long as I did get my things done. Everybody in the office is always very helpful. There is no dresscode.
|
BIg problem for student research assistants is that there is only one shared office with 10 computers for about 20 people. since you never know which day everyone is coming in you better be there before 10am to get a work place. this sucks if you have class during the morning. Career options or a permanent contract are only given if you do a phd or hold a phd.
