Halo hires extremely well from both a talent and culture fit perspective. The culture is one of authenticity, very hard work and transparency. I have never felt anything less than supported during my time in Sales and I know that is because leadership understands how to get the best out of their employees, and that is by taking good care of them.
Halo's innovation and long term vision is sound and very well received in the market. As long as we continue to deliver the future is very bright for Halo.
Lastly, there are so many companies that are laying off thousands of workers yet we continue to hire month over month. This growth speaks for itself.

Horrible company that never learns
|
|
Checks don't bounce, but we'll see about the next one
|
If you're considering working at Halo ask about:
Churn (How many people have left in the last 3, 6, 12 months?)
Number of reports per manager
How have managers have helped any of their reports advance
Career growth in general
How their performance has grown year over year
Diversity (if that sort of thing is important to you, don't get me wrong they have fodder to virtue signal with but there's really nothing there - I don't think one Black person works there).
They say they're open to improving but it's a smoke screen, middle management steals your ideas and then shows you the door because they're (for the most part) really incompetent and are unable to even do what their reports do and manage in general.
I will update my review based on ANY reply, your lies have an impact on real people and I"m going to do my part to make sure they know.

Halo Health is a good company, but we have room for improvement
|
|
My teammates are passionate, kind, and go out of their way to help each other out. I really enjoy working with people who want to make a difference in the health care field. We are treated like adults, and my leaders trust me and do not micromanage. We are trusted to get our work done while maintaining a healthy work life balance. I enjoy meeting 1:1 with my manager weekly and receiving performance feedback. The benefits offered here are better than the benefits found at most other health care systems/vendors.
|
Halo struggles with getting all employees on board with change and this makes it challenging for a start-up company that has to sometimes make change in order to remain successful. There are also some individuals who maintain the "this is how it's always been done it doesn't need to be changed" mentality which is challenging to work alongside. Since there is often a lot change occurring, we often times don't hear about changes until after after the fact. This can be frustrating when the changes affect our day-to-day duties and responsibilities. It doesn't seem like newer employees are given a lot of direction when they start so it becomes a free-for-all and individuals end up wearing a lot of different hats. We need more definitive job roles and responsibilities communicated to the rest of the team.

Remember to take a step back every once in a while and look at the big picture. Don't get lost in the forest when you're focusing so heavily on the day-to-day trees. Communicate with your employees openly about changes and avoid blindsiding your employees. Ask your employees explicitly whether they are satisfied and dissatisfied with their jobs and how they can help. I think the top-level leaders want these conversations to happen but middle management doesn't actually follow through. Make sure your managers don't have too much on their plate either because they can't be good managers if they are overwhelmed themselves. Everyone makes mistakes but please don't continue making the same mistakes over and over. Plan ahead and when any change takes place (i.e. when someone leaves the organization, job role change/promotion occurs, process change, project change) please make sure there is structure in place to support the change and the change is communicated appropriately.

Halo has a superior vision and is leading the industry. It is fun to have a solution that resonates so well with what health systems are looking for.
The sales leadership has extensive experience and provides excellent guidance to the reps. The culture is energetic and collaborative. I genuinely love coming to work!

Great people & a great product
|
|
Halo has done an excellent job of putting together a team of smart and collaborative people that have been able to accomplish a lot together. The culture is one that encourages individual contributors to pursue their ideas and really make an impact on the product and the business. For me, it is the perfect balance of autonomy in solving complex problems and support from a willing and capable team.
|
The environment can be very fast paced, and we are solving difficult problems in a complex space. Those are not cons from my perspective but I’ve seen others get burnt out.
