The wider team were friendly and people got on well. Salaries were ok. Opportunity to meet many clients and service providers and to become knowledgeable on products outside of the Driftrock remit. Easy product to learn and easy to sell, although facebook kept reverse engineering it so the team had to keep on adapting and making new products that facebook didn't already have. Manager took credit for your good work and blame their bad work on you. Despite asking for targets, staff were not told of them and then berated for not meeting said targets. One member of staff stank of stale alcohol, was often rude (I saw them be rude to strangers on the tube on the way to business meetings) and was erratic (at after work drinks, they rang their sibling and then insisted another employee speak to them about Japan..I don't know why). 1-2-1 meetings were conducted in the open plan office so nothing sensitive could be discussed. The CEO once gave us some money to spend in a casino - which other employees gave back - one employee took it, spent it, and bragged later about it. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 1.0 2.0 3.0 2.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 1379940 Open Micromanagement will never get the best results. Nor will you get the best results if you throw employees under the bus to appease a large client - they will leave.
