Ducks Unlimited conserves, restores and manages waterfowl habitat in North America. The people who work at DU believe in this mission and foster a professional yet comfortable work environment. There is flexability for many in their work schedules and it is family-friendly. I have very much enjoyed working here.
There are many employees who have worked for DU for 15+ years and many lifers as well. This speaks volumes.

As a non-profit, compensation may not be as high as one would find at a for profit. What DU may be lacking in compensation, they make up for with great benefits.

-The company tends to put people in charge based solely on tenure rather than education, experience, or qualifications. Coordinators often work for mangers who do not have a degree.
-Sometimes, upper-level management can be too “hands off” and not have good grasp of what is going on at entry level.
