The purposes and objectives of its mission are very clear and serve to drive focus and effort. Because there are no vagueries as to that mission, everyone involved in delivering on that effort is "of the same feather" and therefore truly enjoy "flocking together". My cubicle was around some extremely nice ladies who have been there for quite a while, so I enjoyed the environment. Their boss however was AWFUL - she micromanaged them to the point they couldn't go to the bathroom without her snide remarks. My boss however, was great! She was always specific about what she wanted which I appreciated because I was able to meet her expectations exactly as she wanted. I was only a temp and worked as a General Clerk. I liked it there, and many others seem to as well. Worked with knowledgable people. Great atmosphere and comradery around the office. When push came to shove the information they received was never checked for accuracy, never questioned me about the allegations or the source of the slanderous comments. A five minute call would have resolved all concerns and exposed a criminal trying to ruin someone's life. I get to meet great people who are passionate about saving wetlands. National headquarters Desperate for change Low pay. most of my department has two jobs just to feed there families. You advance only when you are connected to someone of stature. They dont pay competitively. And dont care that they dont.. all the managoment are self promoting looking to move up at all cost to get better pay. While the peaple that do the work never get anything and some years not even a raise. The raises are only 3% If you lucky to get one. Ducks takes alot from there employee's you are almost expected to donate back them even if you not making hardly anything. It has an old boy environment. And if you dont have influence on you side it will be hard to move up.. The peaple you work with are great peaple that care for others. Unfortunately Ducks takes advantage of them. The environment is nice. And the grounds are relaxing.. It could be a great place.
