I am a contractor with E&E assigned to a federal position. The management provides decent care of the employees. The position has lasted more than 11 years and provided for my family. The workplace is excellent, the other developers are all fair minded, intelligent individuals. On a daily basis I do not have contact with any of the management of E&E. My contact is with federal civilian employees and other contractors. The benefits package from E&E was good, but healthcare costs continue to increase, and after 11 years I still have only 26-28 paid days off, which must be used for sick, vacation or any other instance where I will miss work. E&E has been very flexible working with me and supporting my continued employment on the current contract.

Recruited for temporary project position - continue with the set up and maintenance of their Call Center and their Coding Department.. Typical day was spent managing both the Call Center and the Coding Departments which included problem solving and the creation of protocols that accompanied the problem solving. As far as the management at Rite Aid, which were overseeing this project, forward movement and progression was slow and frustrating at times for many reasons. One of the principle reasons was due to lack of medical billing knowledge considering that Rite Aid's billing knowledge is pharmaceutical based.
The most challenging part of this position was keeping staff. Rite Aid advertised the positions as temporary and with that, hired staff would move on to a permanent positions outside the company leaving the challenge to keep hiring new staff. During the project, continued to stay behind in staff training due to the "revolving door".
The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to know the staff that did stay and work on my team.
What I took away from this position is to ask more probing questions regarding the actual expectations of the senior management to access if the position would really be something that I could take on and be successful in..
