Senior leadership promotes nepotism by hiring family members. Top leadership including Associate VP have no clue what their employees do in their daily jobs and offer no support and show no interest. Fortunately, our department works well together. The best part of working here is seeing students succeed and reach their goals.

Faculty are give great flexibility in how they approach their teaching with only general oversight. The college values continuing its track record of never raising tuition over compensating highly educated faculty who have achieved terminal degrees int heir fields. Full-time faculty with doctorate degrees make what department managers at Walmart make with a H.S. diploma.

Growing college in a great state.

A typical day at Eastern Florida State College for me entails meeting with students and faculty on a regular basis.
During the work day there at regular assigned duties to accomplish and problems or what you call opportunities to tackle.
The hardest thing that most people deal with at Eastern Florida State College is the pay.
The best thing about the college is its' flexibility at times.
The people are great to work with and the management staff is pretty fair.

Good friendly environment, where I help students. Colleges are energetic places with tons of activities. Managers may call upon student aides to assist in events outside of the office. For instance, student aides may be charged with hanging posters around campus advertising a guest speaker, operating the department’s information booth at an orientation for new students, or helping with logistics for a dinner honoring donors.
