Good stepping stone for graduates
|
I started here fresh out of college. I enjoyed working here. The pay is horrible though we had to rely of COLA raises that were so small it hardly made a difference. There’s also a lot of gossip. Supervisors are good people but because positions are so hard to fill they rely on good staff to pick up what other staff won’t do. Besides that, this is a low stress environment and a good place to start.

The position gave me hope ,learning new things was exciting , and the staff was patient and supportive. Once the position was over my time was not occupied because it was summer time.

Poor training and lack of ethical work
|
Very stressful, lack of communication, lead MA doesn’t know half her job, walks into exam room without knocking as your doing your job, she was promoted and has no leadership. Very poor training but expected to perform to their expectations. Very few employees last there. Many of their PCP are great but MAs are over worked and looked down at.

Stay away from EBCAP
|
All the negative things you hear about EBCAP, unpaid, no advancement, poor management, horrible HR, etc. Is all TRUE. I have been here for years and that is only because of convince in traveling.
Take this from someone who is working here at the top. This place does NOT care about anyone. HR and VP's only care about their salary and nothing else. They under pay employees, rarely and I mean as in an apocalypse rare, that you will receive an increase. The high turnover will never go down and they will say anything just to get someone in the door and have one less job to fill.
Do not think about coming here, you are better off working at some fast food restaurant.

Productive, educational and involved non-profit organization

My time was spent being constantly involved in my child's care center. I volunteered in his class time to time. I enjoyed being a head start volunteer and decided to become more involved in the policy council meetings and executive meetings. It was refreshing to be involved and to know that EBCAP was open to hear from parents and encourage other parents to be just as much as involved. Military life didn't keep us in the area long but the time I did spend there allowed me to enjoy my time there. Staff were absolutely amazing, kind and caring. The activities put on were very successful and engaging. Family involvement is important to me and it is what they successfully strived for. Great organization.

What others are saying about false promises, awful management, and toxic work environment... All true! Supervisors have staff they like; if you aren't one, you are out of luck. Lies, unprofessional behavior, and incomplete training by managers. No support from HR. If you refer to handbook/policies to address an issue, you get written up. Oh, and they also expect free labor but can't say that, so expect to be reprimanded for some "other" reason

This company forces you to clock out for lunch but still expects you to work for free and often does not pay you overtime even if you work over 40 hours... I was lied to by the human resources department about what my paygrade would be. Basically, you should expect a lot of false promises and a lack of professionalism.
