From the tutor perspective, the company is perfect. They do a great job. They are there to help students and I am so grateful to be part of such a great company and initiative. I feel very supported.
|
It can sometimes be difficult to work with some students and work with scheduling, but that comes with the territory. Also, there isn’t one hundred percent control of prospective new students, but again the territory (that is most tutoring companies). Despite these commonplace aspects of the industry, I have had an absolutely amazing experience working with EBL Coaching.

Great Tutoring Experience!

I have been working at EBL Coaching for the past 5 months and have had a great experience. They provide all the necessary tutoring materials, are all very helpful and friendly and are happy to answer any questions I may have. They are very accomodating to my changing schedule and often email me with more students to work with.
Overall, I am very happy working for EBL Coaching and recommend it to anyone interested in supplementing their income through tutoring.

They don't provide a travel stipend if you travel to the students home. Also the base rate of $50/hr was a bit low but they do provide you with all the tools you need so that is a definite benefit.

Make your own schedule, employers are helpful, give you the materials to teach from

the pay is extremely low for a tutor in NY, travel costs, everyone wants the same window so the most you will work in a day is 2-3 hours totaling 150. No benefits, and you will have to pay taxes. There is no consequence for misbehaving students.

I loved working here! I took the position as a part time job to help supplement my income, but I loved it. Dr. Levy is very attentive and always able to be contacted with any problems or concerns. She is quick to help out as much as she can no matter what time of day it is. The schedule is flexible - really depends on who you are tutoring. The pay is decent, and can add up really nicely if you take on a lot of hours. I was working between 4-7 hours a day with a couple different clients.
If I had not moved out of NYC, I would definitely still be working at EBL!
