Top leadership is corrupt

The market they are in could be fun to work in.

Unfortunately the company's top leadership has very little ethics or moral fabric. It is a small, Chairman driven organization with no checks or balances and as a result, is criptive and dishonest in communication and has no idea who they are, where they are going, or why they exist. As an executive looking to find a solid company that will be up front with you and provide a runway to allow you to do your job, this is not the place. Its a tinker toy company with tinker toy leadership and deadly for thinkers and doers that join. You will scare the heck out of them and you will be gone overnight. They need pawns and yes people to keep them going.

Great Company, Poor Management

Very family oriented and close nit teams, some interdepartmental bickering but nothing that cant be easily resolved. Original team that built the company are tried and true and continue to work with the utmost pride and integrity. Excellent benefits package
|
Executive management fails to communicate or engage in day to day operation of the company resulting in unorganized, sporadic decisions and failure to understand or care about fallout of such decisions. Details are looked at as "inconvenient" and most of the executive staff (excluding the obvious God of Email that makes everyone in the company look slack) - doesn't even read their email let alone respond.

Great place to start, but not somewhere to stay for any length of time...

CTO is amazing. The main reason why I have stayed with the company for a period of time. The atmosphere is typically a collaborative one. Benefits are great as well. You can learn a fair amount with this company and apply it to other areas of IT.
|
There is no formal training whatsoever. I was pretty much thrown to the wolves and had to make sure to learn the business model as best I could. At first, the atmosphere of the company was almost a "me against you" mentality between departments, however I believe that has been resolved for the most part. Some of the superior figures lack any real communication (email or phone) when there input is needed. I often wondered what they did from day to day while I was trying to perform my job as bet as possible.

In general, I feel very supported here and feel very strongly that my ideas are heard and much appreciated. Elauwit, as a work place, is very laid-back but still professional. They put together a lot of fun events like company lunches, ball games, and the like.
