The flexibility that EMPAUA offers is definitely my favourite thing about working here. Secondly is the ability to work with extremely talented, ambitious individuals - our recruitment process is pretty involved, with input and feedback provided from both peers and managers, which I think works really well. We work with a lot of start-up's... and whilst these might not always be the biggest/most complex of projects, they certainly come with their challenges and as a Project Manager it keeps me on my toes, and it's really interesting to work with so many interesting companies.

Whilst the flexibility is amazing... a lot of people still struggle with self-management and being accountable for their actions which can have a knock on effect on the people around them, which can be frustrating at times.

They operate on the principles of Holacracy, which means that you are self-managed and trusted to take charge of your own workload. The culture is the best I've ever come across, because EMPAUA put so much emphasis on hiring people who are culturally a great fit and I genuinely consider everyone here to not just be a colleague but a friend as well.
