A fun organization if you fit the bill.
When I joined energage, it was completely remote. I never met a single person I worked with in person, but the manager did make you feel connected and cohesive. I was listed as a top performer, but was penalized because I didn't make enough phone calls to keep them happy. I unexpectedly lost a stand-in parent the week before I was slated to go on vacation. The straw that broke the camels back was when my boss told me to figure it out because they had expectations.
Great product- easy to encourage people to participate in
management; being a cohesive unit.

People and purpose
Energage is mission-driven and cares about people- more than any company I have ever worked for, starting with the CEO. You can have flexibility in your day and overall schedule, just by being accountable for what you are paid to do. People are friendly and helpful and that adds a lot to the day-to-day. As a smaller company, career growth opportunities are fewer and far between than larger organizations. You have unlimited access to leadership and others in the organization so you can learn and grow. You can gain experience you might not be able to in a larger organization because there is a culture of learning.

Highly toxic culture
Energage used to be a well meaning survey and consultancy firm. A little over two years ago things changed, they hired a great deal of super talented people to transform Energage into a real SAAS product-driven organization. However, that never happened because any meaningful changes were cut off at the highest levels. The talented people they brought in were consistently ignored until they left or were laid off. Unfortunately, Energage is a toxic mess driven in circles by visionless leadership.

Awesome product, low morale
They have a pretty amazing product. The morale is so low right now. Leadership has laid off like 20-30 people in the last couple months. Great people too! All because leadership tried something out and failed innocent people were laid off. Mid-management all the way up to senior leadership team will use you as a stepping ladder and think nothing of it. Not a diverse workforce at all either.
