Such talented and smart colleagues
A really good effort to have socials (but often low attendance as people work late/ have too much work)
Some great clients
A huge variety of products and industries to work on and there's always scope to work on pitches and pro-bono charity clients
A huge range of people within the building that can offer expertise
|
There's only one promotion window a year so it can be tricky if you join at certain times of the year
Everyone works SO incredibly hard that it makes it hard to have a social culture (in the office, 90% eat at their desks, the pub-after-work is really rare and often only for someones leaving do
The wage is low in comparison to other companies and they make it uncomfortable to discuss any pay rises
The AM department is filled with such intelligent hard-working people but its clear that it is incredibly undervalued by the company
Diversity is so minimal its embarrassing. If an external person came in to look at diversity I dread to think what they'd say. There is definitely a 'look' for anyone they hire.

listen and talk to the staff at every level in every department. Even though it will take a long time, it will be so worthwhile for morale and progression if people feel heard and cared about - and ultimately improve the culture, decrease turnover, and increase great work. The surveys never lead to anything.

Some very talented people and a good city centre location.

The creative department has lurched from crisis to crisis since restructuring over two years ago. There doesn't seem to be any cohesive long-term strategy as it's quite clear the parent company is trying to offload the business and the constant threat of redundancy has created an unpleasant and cliquey atmosphere.
