Overworked and Under appreciated

Highly stressful work environment. Your team seems to be very self centered, they don't really care for you, and there is very little trust from your "higher ups". Schedules are changed, and tasks are given all for the purpose to make it hard on you as a means to get you to quit. The leadership basically works off an antiquated "old way" style, where people are promoted and placed in positions due to favoritism and not on merit or skills/experience. You are always fearful of losing your job rather than encouraged and motivated. The pay was great, managers are paid well for their compliance/allegiance, and there is plenty of overtime for the workforce. Crazy work schedules prevent a healthy work-life balance and you usually don't get the opportunity to use your flight privileges, unless you're a favorite.

Got interviewed for Envoy at CMH which didn't go that great but continued with the (extremely unorganized) process up to the point of getting my badge to start training. Communication was so poor that I was never informed that training would start the same day until they called asking where I was and blamed me for "wasting a day for the class".

Only good things about this job: some coworkers are chill and easy to get along with, flight benefits were great, flexibility with my schedule was good. Other than that the management was horrible, the conditions we worked under destroyed you, really understaffed since most quit after taking a quick trip or two. If you're gonna work here get ready to work for measly pay

Benefits are great, job itself isn't.

The only thing that's keeping me here are the benefits, that's it. You guys with great people (sometimes) and create friendships that will last a lifetime,but that still won't do on how low your pay is, especially if you are a reserve fight attendant like me. I'm single and have a second job, that's the only way I'm making it. Idk how mom's that are on reserve can do it.
Find that second job if decide to stick with it. Other than that, run..
Not that glamorous lifestyle you dream of.

Wouldn't recommend anyone to work there, they have an unfair point system and a very high turnover rate. It took me 3 months to receive rain gear so I had to buy my own.

Senior Leadership from CEO on down is just about the most disfunctional group I´ve seen. Their favorite motivation techinique is fear of losing your job. I hope their parent company American Airlines Group realizes this at some point and forces changes. Get ready to give up any work/life balance you may want and get paid very little for what you do!

If you're young and looking to get your foot in the door in commercial aviation then Envoy Air is a good start. However if you're looking to make a decent wage to take care of yourself or family then please consider before you accept a position from them. After taxes and insurance deductions, my full-time weekly take home pay was $440. What made matters worse was the training was sub par and managers would openly speak negative about their team members performance.
