Great place to work!

I have been employed with the company for about 6 years and happy in my position.
It is so nice to have the owners of the company stop in and ask how everything is going and to make sure their staff is doing well. This Company is a family owned business and working here you will definitely feel like family.
We have an amazing HR department, very helpful in all areas and takes the time to explain benefits, 401K etc.

Very Toxic. Stay far away and don’t torture yourself.

Very toxic work culture with a hands-on narcissistic owner with a dictatorship style that is deeply involved in everything you do. Has a strong ego, treats employees like peasants or servants and is disrespectful towards women. His mind races 100 mph and he will insult employees to their face in front of others. He has no filter.
Owner told me a few times that I was dispensable and he can easily find another me at anytime.
No benefits - They say 5 PTO days after 3 months, but really you qualify for 5 PTO days after accrued after 1 year.
No work life balance - Owner expects everyone to work at least 45 to 50 hours a week and puts it in your offer letter unless you are part time like the call center. One person said he took a half day for a doctor appointment and made up the time on the weekend, but still got docked pay for taking a half day because he didn’t have PTO time.
Major micromanaging- Owner thinks everyone isn’t doing good enough even though the numbers show differently. You are constantly under a microscope and yelled at to work harder, put in more hours, and work 10x faster. Everything is like the building is on fire attitude.
Revolving door - Turnover is extremely high and it is rare that anyone lasts a year. Many people go job hunting soon after taking the position after they realize how bad it is there. People who are still there are currently job hunting to get away from the bad experience.

Bad place to work
|
I was with them for six months and was the clinic manager. There was hardly any training and I was fired out of the blue. However that location was not doing well financially. I found out this is common practice to eliminate that position when they were not doing well. My manager in Illinois was not helpful when I called for help. The owner would show up in his limo and thought he was pretty hot stuff yuk would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

Eon Clinics is a small company that is slowly expanding throughout the midwest. We specialize in dental implants, which is an elective treatment.

Since the doctors at our clinic travel to our various locations, we have clinic and non clinic days. On clinic days I am checking in and collecting paperwork from consults, answering the phone, checking in current patients and making sure everything is running smooth overall in the clinic. Working with such a small company, I've learned so much about customer service and the importance of jumping in and assisting with tasks regardless of whether it is your area of expertise or not. This has also taught me to become very self-sufficient. The hardest part of the job is when a problem arises, having to learn how to deal with it on my own with very little guidance.
